Here's a look at this year's big releases. We'll update this list as often as possible (last updated 10/1/2022) and take a deeper look at each month's upcoming titles. Please be aware that just because a film is on this list it doesn't guarantee we'll be showing it:

January:

The Electrical Life of Louis Wain

Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Foy star in this extraordinary and heart warming true story of eccentric British artist Louis Wain, whose playful, sometimes even psychedelic pictures, helped to transform the public's perception of cats forever.

Licorice Pizza

Director Paul Thomas Anderson is a seasoned pro at making beautiful films and his latest work Licorice Pizza is no different, set in 1970s LA this coming-of-age tale follows Alana Kane and Gary Valentine in a heartwarming and hilarious tale of first love and also marks solid film debuts for Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman too.

The 355

Bringing a bit of badass girl power to the new year, this action thriller sees four top female agents from across the globe team up to take back a deadly weapon from a group of mercenaries. Starring Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong'o, Penélope Cruz, Diane Kruger and Fan Bingbing.

Scream

We've been waiting for this one for a while, Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox return for the fifth instalment of the much loved slasher franchise. Picking up 25 years after the first streak of brutal murders rocked Woodsboro, a new killer now dons the iconic ghost face mask and will resurrect some secrets from the past.

Belfast

Another film tipped for Oscar success sees Kenneth Branagh at the helm and Jamie Dornan playing a doting 1960s father. Packed full of familial love, childhood hijinks, and a blossoming romance, the family must decide whether to ride out the turmoil that faces their hometown or leave everything they know for a new life.

A Journal for Jordan

Based on the true story of First Sergeant Charles Monroe King, a soldier deployed to Iraq begins to keep a journal of love and advice for his infant son. Back at home, senior New York Times editor Dana Canedy revisits the story of her unlikely, life-altering relationship with King and his enduring devotion to her and their child. Directed by Denzel Washington.

Nightmare Alley

Starring Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara and Toni Colette, this crime thriller follows an ambitious young carny with a talent for manipulating people, but after he hooks up with a female psychiatrist things take a turn when she turns out to be even more dangerous than he is.

NT Live: Leopoldstadt

Kicking off our new National Theatre Live season, Tom Stoppard's acclaimed play is a passionate drama of love, family and endurance. It follows a family’s story across half a century, passing through the convulsions of war, revolution, impoverishment, annexation by Nazi Germany and the Holocaust. A company of 40 actors represent each generation of the family in this epic, but intimate play. Filmed live on stage in London’s West End.

Sing 2

Follow up to the 2016 family favourite, this fun film stars Bono, Taron Egerton, Halsey and Scarlett Johansson, and follows Buster and his all-star cast of animal performers as they prepare to hit the big time. But there's just one problem, they need the help of the world's biggest rockstar turned recluse to discover the true power of music.
